The existing Art Gallery and Library are located on quiet residential streets with no potential to capitalise upon the heavy movements at the Junction.
Currently the two primary public spaces Mosman Square and Mosman Green are undesirable places to linger.
The project aims to reinforce the currently active edges with a new library, art gallery and shops. Residential and Community Services will reinforce the picturesque character of The Crescent.
The design show a new Library and Art Gallery building situated between two public spaces and in a position of prominence where it can become a primary landmark.
The new buildings frame a variety of and specific outdoor rooms that invite many types of interactions.
